This Privacy Policy describes how StyleViz («we», «us») processes personal data when you visit our website (styleviz.no and related marketing pages) and when merchants use the StyleViz application integrated with Shopify.

StyleViz is operated with contact point at pt@styleviz.no. When we publish full company details (legal name, organisation number, and business address), they will be added here. Until then, you may use the contact email for privacy inquiries.

We aim to comply with applicable privacy law, including the EU/EEA General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Norwegian Personal Data Act.

Website visitors: individuals who browse our marketing site.

Merchants and users: individuals who install, configure, or use the StyleViz app on behalf of a Shopify store, and/or who sign in to related dashboards or tools we provide.

This policy does not govern end-customers of a merchant’s Shopify store except where we indirectly process minimal technical data in connection with delivering the app (for example security logs). Merchants remain responsible for their own storefront privacy notices.

Contact and account data: name, email address, and similar details you provide when you contact us or create/access an account.

Shopify and store-related data: identifiers and configuration data supplied through Shopify (such as store name, shop domain, staff identifiers authorized to use the app, and product or merchandising data you configure within StyleViz).

Technical and usage data: IP address, device/browser information, timestamps, diagnostic logs, and security information necessary to operate and protect our services.

We process personal data to provide and improve the StyleViz service, communicate with you, comply with law, and secure our systems.

Depending on the situation, we rely on: performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)); legitimate interests such as security, product improvement, and business operations, where not overridden by your interests (Art. 6(1)(f)); legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)); and consent where we specifically ask for it (Art. 6(1)(a)).

StyleViz is built for Shopify. Operating the app typically requires processing store and product configuration data made available through Shopify’s APIs or admin experience in line with Shopify’s terms and your use of Shopify.

Shopify processes personal data in its own capacity. We encourage merchants to review Shopify’s privacy documentation and data processing terms at shopify.com/legal.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not share merchant product data or catalog content you add within StyleViz with third parties for those parties’ own marketing or resale purposes.

We may share data with subprocessors that help us run the service (for example hosting, email delivery, or error monitoring), subject to confidentiality and data-processing safeguards. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect rights and security.

Our service providers may process data outside the EEA. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards under GDPR (such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions). You may contact us for more information about such transfers.

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described, to comply with legal obligations, and to resolve disputes. Retention periods depend on the type of data and whether you are an active user; technical logs may be kept for shorter security-related periods.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission over the Internet is completely secure.

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, data portability, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

Our public marketing pages may use cookies or similar technologies that are necessary for site functionality or analytics, depending on configuration. The embedded StyleViz experience inside Shopify’s admin follows Shopify's environment; refer also to your own cookie settings in the browser and Shopify’s documentation.

Our services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children without appropriate consent where required by law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and adjust the “Last updated” date. Material changes may be communicated where appropriate (for example by email or in-app notice).
